Member Spotlight: Technocom
Community Service Program: Digital Home integrators give back to their communities.
Recently at the Digital Convergence Summit several Digital Home integrators were highlighted for their
efforts in contributing to their communities through volunteer efforts. Of these integrators,
Technocom,
was selected as the recipient of the "Best Community Service Award". We'd like to share with you some
of the exciting things that Technocom is doing in their community. It may just inspire you to also get
more involved in serving the needs of your community through volunteer efforts.
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Toy & Joy Holiday Program.
Technocom collects and donates new toys to the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue for their Toy &
Joy program. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue has assisted less-fortunate families for over 20 years with
this program. We hope to donate 100 toys yearly and are continuously looking for opportunities where we
can help those less fortunate than us.
Oregon Food Bank - Holiday Basket Program Seattle's Union Gospel Mission
In an effort to help fight hunger, Technocom adopts families every year during the holiday season
through the Oregon Food Bank Holiday Basket Program and Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. These wonderful
programs allow us to provide traditional fixings for a holiday meal, gifts for the family and deliver it
directly to them. "We love seeing the difference we can make in the families life," said Administrative
Manager Cyndi Kracke.
The Children's Course
Technocom sponsors an annual "Pitch & Putt Golf Outing" for our employees at The Children's Golf Course.
The golf course relies mostly on donations to support their programs. Our donation helps them teach life
skills to deserving youth in the community. The First Tee of The Children's Course is unique in that there
are no restricted tee times for kids and they have access seven days a week.
